Dying Light Switch vs PS4 Comparison Shows an Impressive Switch Port

With Dying Lite releasing today for the Nintendo Switch, a new comparing video has been released, comparison the game's performance and visuals on Nintendo'due south hybrid platform to those on PS4.

When Techland appear that its open up-world championship would be arriving on the Switch we were rather reluctant about the sacrifices that would demand to exist made in order to decently run this title. Even more than so because the game's performance express performance on PlayStation four. Last week, however, diverse sources already reported that the Switch port was actually pretty impressive. Today'due south new comparing video, courtesy of ElAnalistaDebits, confirms that this is indeed the instance. Nosotros've included the new comparison down beneath:

- Switch runs at a dynamic resolution ranging from 1080p to 720p. In open environments, 720p is much more mutual. In handheld style, the resolution seems locked at 720p.

- The drawing distance and the shadows are the settings that accept suffered the virtually cuts in Switch.

- Well-nigh models take the aforementioned quality.

- Lower quality of ambient occlusion (and in some cases total absenteeism) in Switch.

- Some textures take lowered their quality on Switch, but some take kept the same level.

- Loading times are faster on Switch.

- The framerate some punctual driblet in stress zones on Switch, only it generally maintains a decent 30fps.

- Dying Calorie-free on Switch is 1 of the best ports I've seen on the console, maintaining a like quality without sacrificing as well much resolution or performance.

On the Switch, Dying Low-cal runs at a dynamic resolution, ranging between 1080p and 720p with the latter existence more common in open environments. As expected, sacrifices have been made when information technology comes to resolution and overall operation, but overall, the game is an impressive port with the Switch version maintaining almost a similar quality compared to the PS4 version. Interestingly, loading times appear to exist faster on Nintendo's platform than those on PS4.

Dying Light is available globally at present for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation four, Xbox One, and PC.
