How To Upload Photos To Flickr From Computer

On a project many moons ago, we used Flickr to display a variety of subject specific paradigm galleries which fed into WordPress based on the contents of a detail Flickr anthology.

When Flickr can be advantageous

Nosotros did this for 2 reasons:

So that it was very easy for this business organization to upload images into their website (without hitting the WP back-end)
In order to showcase these images to the wider earth (aka marketing) through Flickr.

Merely… albums are not obvious

However, information technology became apparent that, for some users, its not immediately obvious how to upload pictures into Flickr, and have them placed into albums. The most common complaint? The upload procedure doesn't make information technology clear that you need to click "Upload" once again, in the slightly unintuitive height-right corner after configuring your image options…

The below set of instructions will have you logged in, uploading pictures, and editing their descriptions, earlier adding them into either existing or new albums in moments!

Adding Pictures to Flickr and Placing Them into Existing or New Albums

Instructions:

i. Visit Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/
two. Hit "Sign in" in the acme right corner.
three. Enter your username and password. (or register a new account)
four. Hitting Upload

5. Hit Cull Photos and videos

6. Select all the pictures y'all'd like to upload

For each picture, you can set a title and description:

On the left, select "Add together to Album"

– and driblet the motion-picture show into the relevant album by clicking on the anthology (it will display a green tick) or add a new album.

Adding photo to an album within Flickr Annotation if the album doesn't exist, you can add a new 1 hither.
IMPORTANT – after configuring your pictures, hit "Upload X Photos" in the superlative right (blue button) and this will put all the photos up into the relevant albums.

Pull the album into WordPress

To place the album into your WordPress website, go to the sharing settings on your album:

Click on "embed" and choose the dimensions you want on your site. If you lot want to get in clear it's a Flickr album, add the header & footer options.

Copy the embed code, paste into text view on a WordPress post or page and everything dropped into the album on Flickr will become accessible from your WordPress website:
